Le ali della liberta'

Birds - Tails, wings, strong colours and patterns become a powerful symbol of influence. The male elements – ties, which were used in this collection - show strength, while living in a sensible and intuitive world of a woman. This is not a story about recycling old ties, but remembering our memories. Each tie has its story, which needs to be revitalized.

The collection is aimed at an urban woman who dares to stand out from the average. Her strong personality is shown through the way she walks, talks, thinks and wears her clothes. She is prepared to fly like a bird, fly on the wings of her imagination. Symbolically she looks from a bird’s perspective, from above, which gives her an overlook of what is hidden in our society.

Tail, wings and strong colours gives her determination, audacity and coordination between the male and female principles. At times, she can be fragile as a feather, but when she unfold her wings…she becomes proud and strong character.

Male elements symbolize power, strength and realism, while female’s show intuitiveness, sensuality and creativity.

Fashion is seeing ahead, explore and search for new ideas. When I was creating this Spring-Summer collection, I entered in a state where I wanted to highlight the elegance and beauty of a women’s body. I completely devoted my days to sewing, creativity, flow of thoughts and ideas…to complete a collection that could inspire transformation.

Bakuhatsu / Explosion

Everything begins from an explosion: light, energy, life… Light is needed for the development of all forms of life and ideas. This is a result from a rapid and violent release of energy. Bakuhatsu, which in Japanese means explosion, became my inspiration for this Fall-Winter collection. Solar explosions, supernovas, explosions of stars and the consequences which arise after these huge bangs, appear on the body with unusual and irregular shapes.

Developing asymmetric shapes with different materials was a “must do”. For this project I created a black and silver jacquard and used artificial materials integrated with copper threads, so that I could create new 3D shapes and mix them with other materials (silk, chiffon, cotton).

The colours I used are the ones that appear in our telescopes while looking at the universe - black, purple, red, silver and gold.

Sensitivity, strength and energy where transmitted through sewing. All these new factors were involved in every detail of the collection, from the dresses to the shoes I made.

It is important to be aware of how the universe affects us and our surroundings. A single explosion can cause a new source of life and emerge new ideas.

A Winter Day

What can you do on a winter day? Take a crochet hook and start creating. Be inspired by the things that surround you. Observe them. Have an idea in mind and just keep on realizing it.

This is the result of one of my projects. It took me a month to finish it and the satisfaction was great.
