Everything begins from an explosion: light, energy, life… Light is
needed for the development of all forms of life and ideas. This is a result
from a rapid and violent release of energy. Bakuhatsu, which in Japanese means
explosion, became my inspiration for this Fall-Winter collection. Solar
explosions, supernovas, explosions of stars and the consequences which arise
after these huge bangs, appear on the body with unusual and irregular shapes.
Developing asymmetric shapes with different materials was a “must do”.
For this project I created a black and silver jacquard and used artificial
materials integrated with copper threads, so that I could create new 3D shapes
and mix them with other materials (silk, chiffon, cotton).
The colours I used are the ones that appear in our telescopes while
looking at the universe - black, purple, red, silver and gold.
Sensitivity, strength and energy where transmitted through sewing. All these
new factors were involved in every detail of the collection, from the dresses
to the shoes I made.

It is important to be aware of how the universe affects us and our
surroundings. A single explosion can cause a new source of life and emerge new
ideas.
